In September every year the R.A.F. holds a Battle of Britain Week to collect funds for the R.A.F. Benevolent Fund. Each week culminated in R.A.F. station “at homes” and associated air and ground displays. This is the programme for the R.A.F. Dumfries At Home event on 20 September 1952. There is a note in the programme that cameras were not allowed on the station and members of the public arriving with a camera had to leave them at the Guard Room. As a result, photographs of the event were limited to those taken under licence by the local press.
