Dumfries and Galloway Aviation Museum is run completely by Volunteer Members of the museum. We are an Accredited Museum, and as such we are expected to maintain, display and store our exhibits to a pre determined level.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life and have different levels of experience in different trades, jobs and interests. In fact some have no related experience whatsoever! However, we all have a common interest in preserving aviation history and take great pride in showing our museum to all our guests.

There are many jobs that have to be done that do not require any special skills which are just as important as those that do. As well as the exhibits we have buildings/displays to maintain, grounds/gardens, painting , joinery and many other tasks. If you would like to join our team of volunteers, whether or not you have any skills that you think may be useful (we might think otherwise) we would like to hear from you.
