Support us financially

We are a completely independent museum with no regular financial support. Our income is entirely generated through our visitors, donations, fundraising and through specific grant applications where funds are available.

Donations

If you wish to help support us financially then you can do so directly via Paypal and JustGiving.

If you do not wish to donate via either of the options above then please get in touch with us via the contact us page and we will be happy to discuss how best to take forward your donation.

If you wish your donation to go towards a particular aspect of our work, or if you are doing so to remember a loved one, then please do get in touch to let us know and we will ensure that your wishes are followed. Your donation could play a lasting role in the preservation or restoration of iconic aircraft, education programs for schools or for the care of our extensive collection of artefacts and memorabilia through which we can tell the story of aviation and those men and women who have gone before us.

Alternatively, if you have no specific purpose you wish your donation to support, your money could also be used to help with running costs and maintenance.

Leaving a legacy in your will

A gift in your will costs nothing in your lifetime but helps us ensure the future of our museum so that it can be enjoyed for generations to come. By pledging even a small sum you will make a positive contribution to our ability to help inspire the young and commemorate those who have gone before them.
As with other financial donations, your money can be used to help with running costs and maintenance, but if there is a specific area of our work or an artefact you wish to support please have this recorded in your will alongside your gift.

When instructing your solicitor, all you need is our name, address and charity number:

Dumfries & Galloway Aviation Museum,
Former Control Tower,
Heathhall Industrial Estate,
Dumfries, DG1 3PH

Scottish Charity Number: SC035189

Our legacy promises to you

  1. We absolutely recognise that those closest to you come first in your will.
  2. We will never ask you to tell us your intentions, but if you do we are able to thank you, which we’d love to be able to do.
  3. We promise to use your gift wisely.
  4. Your gift is incredibly important and if you want it used for a specific purpose please contact us to ensure we can fulfil your wishes.
